About Us

Community Recruitment Consultants support life science organizations like yours, to improve health and behavioral outcomes in diverse urban communities through research and development.

Why?

Minority groups are diverse, and acknowledging these differences is crucial for addressing health disparities. The groundwork of Community Recruitment Consultants (CRC) started in 2010 at Howard University’s clinical research center (HU CRC). Here, the founders initiated their mission of improving health disparities by involving individuals from various minority backgrounds in clinical research. While others may conduct research on communities, at CRC, we aim to conduct research with communities. By building trust and rapport with marginalized and overlooked population groups, we are able to obtain data that is truly reflective of the population while recognizing the nuanced context that speak to the within and between group differences.

Through our extensive grassroots efforts, endless trust and rapport, and research expertise, we at CRC are able to help you attain reliable data that can be generalized to larger population groups. While others may boast about inclusion, diversity, and equity in research, we at CRC can explain the context of the variations so decisions are based on reliable data and science. In addition, at CRC, we recognize demographic reflectivity and congruence are important factors when conducting research with Black, Latino, and immigrant population groups, therefore, our team not only represents the population and community but is embedded in the lived experience of the sample populations.  Moreover, our team brings forth research expertise in quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods design, sampling, measurement, data collection, and analysis from social behavioral to medical health to consumer research. Simply put, we are able to translate your research, “for the people by the people.
